We’ll give you pros and cons for each model that will help you come to a conclusion. Once we’ve given you some information, we’ll tell you our recommendation.

Commercial Cold Press Juicer Reviews

Omega VRT400

The Omega VRT400 is a vertical masticating juicer that measures 8.5”x7”x15.5”, making it the most space-efficient model in this cold press juicer review. It comes with a powerful 150-watt motor, weighs 22 pounds, and crushes produce at 80 RPM.

The VRT400 is an incredibly good deal, given its ability. It comes with a full 15-year warranty and is by far the least expensive model in this review.

This cold press juicer can be used for any sort of produce: fruits, vegetables, leafy greens and even nuts. It’s capable of making juice from wheat grass, though that’s really not what it’s best at. For a demonstration of what this juicer can do, check out this YouTubeclip.

Key advantages of the VRT400 include its auto-clean system, auto-feed system, and a mixing function that allows the user to mix juices inside the appliance before consuming them. For commercial juicing, these are particularly important because they allow the juicer to function with a minimal amount of human oversight.

The Good

  • High yield
  • Auto-clean system
  • Juice mixer
  • Least expensive model in this review
  • Can handle all kinds of produce
  • Extensive warranty

The bad

  • Chute is a little small, which can lead to clogging
  • Not great with leafy greens
  • Produce needs a decent amount of prep work

Super Angel PREMIUM

Super Angel PREMIUM—Sometimes referred to as the ‘Rolls Royce of Juicers”, the Super Angel Premium is a serious investment for a busy juicer. It measures 19.5”x7.8”x10.5”, weighs a full 28 pounds, and rotates at 82 RPM. Its body is composed of surgical grade stainless steel and all juice containers are manufactured by Pyrex. Its parts are entirely dishwasher-safe and comes with a 5-year wear-and-tear warranty. Its motor is guaranteed by a 10-year warranty.

Like other cold press juicers, the Super Angel PREMIUM works by crushing produce at a slow speed and releasing high-nutrient juice. Unlike other models, this juicer comes with an automated anti-jamming feature that adjusts the speed of the juicer when it’s overloaded and reverses the machine in the event of a jam.

These high-tech features come at a price; this is far and away the most expensive juicer we reviewed. But as anyone interested in commercial food production is aware: with appliances, you get what you pay for.

The Good

  • Anti-jamming feature saves time
  • Automatically adjusts to prevent jamming
  • Stainless steel body won’t rust or degrade
  • Dishwasher-safe
  • Quiet operation
  • Three-stage juicing process

The bad

  • Not a very fast machine
  • Doesn’t auto-feed
  • Very expensive
  • Some problems with the manufacturing company have been reported

Tribest Greenstar Elite

This cold press juicer is a nice middle-of-the-road option in terms of price. It comes with a 12-year full warranty. As a horizontal juicer, it takes up a bit of counter space, though it’s a bit more space saving than the Super Angel PREMIUM.

If there’s one thing that sticks out about this juicer, it’s how portable it is. Its dimensions are 18.6”x6.8”x12.4” and it weighs only 17 pounds, making it the lightest juicer in this review. The Greenstar Elite comes with a handle that makes moving it around an easy task, which is always a plus in a busy kitchen. It operates at 110 RPM, which is a good deal faster than the other two cold press juicers in this review.

Unlike most other juicers, the Greenstar Elite has a reputation for being really good with leafy greens, no attachment necessary. If you find yourself making a lot of leaf juices, you’ll definitely want to go with this model. Fibrous material like celery can even be fed into the Greenstar Elite without cutting, which really saves a lot of prep time. However, the feeding chute is only 1.5 square inches, meaning that you’ll still have to chop up most produce to fit it in the machine.

The downside to this is that the machine requires a fair amount of force to operate. Users with arthritis have complained about the juicing process of this model for that reason. This also makes juicing with this machine a little more labor-intensive than others, which is something to consider if you find yourself multitasking often. Check out this YouTube video for a detailed description of this slow speed juicer.

The Good

  • Long warranty
  • Three-stage juicing process
  • High yield from leafy greens
  • Portable
  • Lightweight
  • Can handle any kind of produce

The bad

  • Requires force on part of the user
  • Higher RPM, creates more froth
  • Mid-range price
  • Soft-fruit attachment not included

What Makes the Best Commercial Cold Press Juicer?

If you’re looking for a juicer that can handle commercial-level production, you don’t care about the same things as someone looking to make juice at home. Instead

You probably don’t care too much about a juicer that takes up a little extra room since you’ve got a professional setup. Money also isn’t as big of an obstacle, since you’d expect to see a return on your investment much faster than a home user. But it’s still worth considering; you want to get a good deal, after all.

Additionally, you’ll want to pay more attention to the warranty, because you’ll be using the juicer a lot and if it breaks down, you’re losing out on money. Versatility is also important; you don’t want to have to buy separate appliances to make different products if you don’t have to.

When it comes to price, these juicers are very different. They range from a few hundred dollars (VRT400) to over a thousand (Super Angel PREMIUM). How much this matters to you depends on how fast you expect to make your money back and what your cash or credit situation is like.

While the Super Angel PREMIUM comes with some cool features, you can’t ignore that it’s more than four times as expensive as the most affordable model in this review. If you’re looking to buy multiple juicers to start up an operation, that kind of money can add up quickly.

The VRT400 and the Greenstar Elite better deals in this regard, and are pretty comparable in terms of their costs. Both juicers offer a great product capable of commercial production for a price similar to most juicers that one would buy for personal use. They can do nearly everything that the Super Angel PREMIUM can, but cost about one third as much. Unless money isn’t a consideration at all, we’d recommend going with one of them.

Remember, you’re going to be juicing all day, every day! That level of use isn’t easy o an appliance. Of course you don’t expect your appliances to break down, but it happens. When it does, you need to know that you’re covered.

In simple terms, the VRT400 has the best warranty of these three cold press juicers. Its full 15-year warranty is unmatched by the other two models. The Greenstar Elite isn’t far behind the VRT at 12 years, but the Super Angel PREMIUM is only covered for 5 years of wear and tear and 10 years for the motor. Additionally, some customers have complained about customer service issues with the company that manufactures the Super Angel PREMIUM.

However, it should be noted that the Super Angel PREMIUM is made of highly durable material, and probably isn’t as prone to mechanical problems as the other two, meaning that a limited warranty may end up being a non-issue.

Ultimately, that might be too big of a chance to take, especially on a juicer that costs over $1,500. Based on warranty alone, we’d recommend going with one of the models that has a longer warranty: the VRT400 or the Greenstar Elite. The practical difference between a 12 and 15-year warranty isn’t huge, and the juicers are affordable enough that you won’t be out a huge amount of cash should one break down.

Labor Intensiveness

hurom elite juicer

As a business, you have to consider labor costs as well as capital costs. For that reason, the amount of human labor involved in creating juice with one of these juicers is important information to have.

The Omega VRT400 has the upper hand in this regard. As a vertical juicer, it doesn’t need to be manually fed unless there’s a jam—gravity alone will push produce into the auger. Of course, produce still needs to be chopped up prior to being fed through the chute. But the ability to walk away from a juicer and have it keep working is important in a kitchen setting where you’re likely to be multitasking.

By contrast, the Greenstar Elite and the Super Angel PREMIUM require more attention. As horizontal cold press juicers, they require the user to physically push produce into the auger. Naturally, this means more labor is required to create every cup of juice. If you’ve got the staff for it, this might not be a big deal. However, if you run a small operation, you’ll want to consider the VRT400 for its auto-feed ability.

Last but not least: versatility. As a commercial juicer, you don’t want to have to buy an army of cold press juicers to accomplish a variety of tasks. Fortunately, each of these models can handle most kinds of produce, so you can’t really go wrong with any of them.

It really comes down to your menu, which is to say that the juicer you buy should reflect the type of produce you expect to feed into it.

For example, if you serve a lot of leafy-green juices, you’ll want to go with the Greenstar Elite. It has an unrivaled reputation as a juicer of fibrous material and leafy greens. However, it has a special attachment for softer fruits that doesn’t come included (it costs about $18), so if you plan on juicing a lot of soft fruits, the Greenstar probably isn’t the way to go.

The VRT400 can handle most produce, but isn’t great with leafy greens. To effectively juice fibrous or leafy produce, the user will have to be sure to feed them in between juicier fruits and vegetables to avoid clogging the juicer.

If you’re looking for a juicer that you can feed anything into and not worry about it, the Super Angel PREMIUM is your best bet—its automated speed and anti-jamming features mean it can handle almost anything without too much of a problem.

The best model for you depends not only on what you want to get out of your commercial juicer, but the condition of your business. Remember, a juicer is an investment, so seeing a return is priority number one.

If you’ve got money to burn, you might be interested in the Super Angel PREMIUM. But if you’re a small operation just starting out its price is likely to be prohibitive.

Over all, we recommend going with the Greenstar Elite. It gets the highest marks on commercial cold press juicer reviews. Its price-to-value ratio is the highest of the three juicers in this commercial cold press juicer comparison and it comes with a really good warranty. It’s lightweight and super efficient, so you’ll save money on produce in the long run.
