Best Juicing Documentary ? – Here’s 5 You Should Watch

Have you been into juicing for a while? Or are you just now discovering the wide variety of benefits that come with it?

Regardless of where you fall on the scale, the stories behind some of these amazing documentaries will inspire you not only to live healthier but also to understand the pure potential of drinking organic juice!

I was once, like many, blind to the goodness of true, unadulterated (and sugary) fruit and vegetable juice. Thankfully, I stumbled across a documentary on Netflix that really changed the way I thought about what I consume. I’ve for the most part been a healthy eater, but I also didn’t always make good choices. It didn’t take long after beginning my  journey of juicing before I started to feel amazing!

Here are my top 5 documentaries on juicing. I hope you enjoy them (and maybe learn a thing or two)!

Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead

“Obesity and illness have taken a toll. Two repentant men go on a crash course with vegetables to save their lives.”

Joe Cross really encouraged me in this documentary about juicing to revamp my juicing routine.  I was an infrequent juicer until hearing about Joe’s motivating journey. Beginning at 310 pounds, suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disorder and taking a load of medicine to cope, Joe was feeling helpless until his doctors came up with a plan.

He drank only fresh fruits and vegetables on a 60 day juice fast!

This documentary is a hope-inducing journey, following Joe while he heals and as he discusses the facts about life, food and mortality.

Another aspect of this video that I love is the fact that Joel Fuhrman (a medical doctor) is featured in it. He developed a wonderful food pyramid that focuses on nutrient density and it is how I have eaten for years now. He is amazing.

Also featuring world renowned doctor, Joel Furhman, M.D., and a host of others, like Caldwell B. Esselystyn Jr, M.D., John A. McDougall, M.D., Gary Null takes you around the streets of New York City to people’s take on health.

Gary takes you through a grocery store and gives you a rundown of what many different fruits and vegetables are beneficial for. You will also learn how to juice, what to juice and more.

You will learn how to lose weight, how to gain more energy and the power of juicing.

Hungry for Change

“From the creators of the groundbreaking documentary Food Matters comes another hard-hitting film, certain to rock your world. Hungry For Change exposes shocking secrets the diet, weight loss and food industry don’t want you to know about.

This juice diet movie begins with an overly exhausted young woman. I’m sure you know the type. She wakes up, feels like she hasn’t had a wink of sleep, jumps out of bed and runs on caffeine, carbs and sugar all day.

The big points that Hungry For Change focuses on are that diets don’t work and that things like refined sugars, MSG, preservatives and carbs are terrible for us and some cause weight gain. There is also a large emphasis on the importance of detoxification. Hungry for Change really pushes vegetable juicing, which I loved.

It also encourages eating healthy food and juicing with the promise that you will feel more energized, lose weight and maybe even live happily ever after.

The Gerson Miracle

Watching this is an amazing experience! It reveals a method that has been around for more than 75 years and has been proven to cure degenerative diseases, including terminal cancers.

In this juicing documentary, the Gerson therapy is explored and the healing abilities of fresh food and juicing is made known. This movie will really make you question modern conventional medicine.

Dying to Have Known

Dying to Have Known is very well constructed and quite revealing.  Steve Kroschel, filmmaker, goes on a journey for 52 days in search of evidence pointing to the effectiveness of the aforementioned Gerson Therapy method.  From Alaska to New York, and all the way to Japan and Spain, he gains a wide variety of input from various different people, cultures and viewpoints.  Kroschel speaks with scientists, nutritionists, surgeons and patients who testify to the Gerson method’s efficacy in fighting disease.

If you are wanting to learn more about juicing so you can begin or if you are needing resources to share about the greatness of juicing, you could pick any one juicing documentary listed above and receive a whole host of benefits.
